A Queensland roadworthy certificate — officially a safety certificate — at Driven Autocare is $89. That is the inspection. It is not a service, and it is not a promise that the car needs no work. If something fails, you get a list in plain English and a quote. You can fix it here, fix it yourself, or walk away.
What $89 actually buys
A hoist inspection against Queensland Transport safety standards: tyres, lights, brakes, steering, suspension, seatbelts, windscreen, structural rust, exhaust leaks, number plates. Government listing fees for the certificate sit on top of workshop labour — we absorb that into the $89 so the number you see is the number you pay for a pass.
What it does not include
- Repairs. A globe is cheap. Brake pads are not. We quote before we touch anything.
- A mechanical warranty on the whole car. A safety certificate is a snapshot, not a pre-purchase inspection.
- A second inspection weeks later if you drove 2,000 km and the certificate expired — that is a new $89.
